Melbourne Craft and Quilt Fair

 
 

Day 1 of the show is done and dusted.  It was fun, frantic full on.  We were flat chat all day at our stand.
We had a demo area, make and take tables, a quilting demo table and a shop. 
There were bargains galore and the shoppers swarmed.  It was the warehouse sale on a smaller scale, but it was still busy most of the day.
Trea and Phillipa from Head Office worked the registers and did not stop.
Dawn Lyn Rosemary and I worked on the demo tables and helped all the ladies who stopped by with their make and takes.
Dawn and Lyn also taught an album in a box class and the ladies who came past after, absolutely loved it.

Annemarie and Adrienne, were our two talented quilters and had lots of ladies watching them work all day too. 

Our stand was busy all day and it only got quiet late in the afternoon.
It was great to see all the ladies sit and create and have fun.
Thank you ladies for stopping by and sharing some of your day with us, to all the new friends we made, we hope you continue to have fun crafting.  We hope you will all stop by the blog often and share in some creative fun with us.

I hope all of you who are going to the show over the weekend have a wonderful time and come home with some goodies and lots of ideas for future crafting.

FISKARS CRAFT STUDIO hits Melbourne......and do we have some surprises in store for you all..................loads of bargains....loads of fun.......COME CRAFT WITH FISKARS!!

Craft and Quilt Fair ~ Melbourne.....July 23rd-26th at Jeff's Shed...woohoo...

You can choose to stroll in and watch the action or sit down and get hands-on to make a funky papercraft project....or just watch a Quilting Demonstration..and as an added BONUS this Show.....you can also purchase some fabulous Fiskars Quilting /Papercrafting Kits......as well as some other wonderful Fiskars Tools/Consumables at Bargain prices.........yeh!!

We'll have a section for the Projects and a section for selling some wonderful Fiskars product at bargain prices.......

There are two projects to select from:

For beginners

Make a lovely Greeting Card, it takes just 15 minutes.

For more advanced papercrafters

Create a unique Note Book, allow 20 to 30 minutes.

Your intimate hands-on papercraft session with a FISKARS Expert will only cost $10( and all this is included:

• Individual instruction in a small group – pick up lots of great tips and learn new, clever techniques.
• Use of an amazing array of Fiskars tools. Try them all – you know you want too!
• The Heidi Grace Orchard Scrapbook Kit which includes an incredible 323 pieces! The kit includes a gorgeous array of papers and embellishments – use some of the pieces to make the project in class and keep the rest.
• Step-by-step project instructions so you can keep creating at home!

The Program applies daily at the fair – no bookings are required; there are no set starting times – get started when you arrive. The Studio will also run on Saturday evening. Note: Payment is by EFTPOS or credit card only (no cash).

For Quilters! As an added bonus, you can check out the latest range of Fiskars quilting tools and the new collection endorsed by well-known USA quilter, Donna Dewberry........and we'll have some Quilting Tools for sale on the STAND.......woohoo

Some retailers such as Scrapbook City(near by) shall be selling Fiskars products!! Kerri is coming down from Brisbane this year....so we are sure to liven up her day with our Fiskars Craft Studio near by......LOL! Girls just wanna' have FUN.....RIGHT?

We shall also be offering a fun and funky Kids/Beginners Workshop in Creative Zone daily from 1-2pm.......see the girls on the FISKARS STAND on arrival.......you can pre-book with Expertise Events before the Fair commences...$10....a real bargain...come and let Fiskars show you how easy it is to create a fun and funky Board Album in a Box......great value.......why not come with a friend and share the fun!!

Happy National Scrapbook Day

And this is how the obsession started, a Creative Memories Workshop with a work friend and there was no turning back.  I was hooked right from the word go.  I still love this layout, even though I cringe at the design, because this was the start of my Creative Life. 

Scrapbooking has made me so many friends, taken me on so many adventures, broadend my horizons, given me strength at the lowest times of my life and been this constant companion for 10 years now.  I could not imagine my life without it. 
I hope you all take a moment today to create, play scrap or just reflect on how cool this amazing hobby/obsession/past time of ours is.

Sharing a layout I created to celebrate my cousin Linda's visit earlier this year.
It was so very special to see her again after ages, she is so lovely and its always awesome hanging out with her.  I wish she did not live so far away on the other side of the world.

I used basic grey paper and gorgeous paper flowers from Cloud9/Fiskars.

Yes another bag for my bag collection, its mulberry maroon sort of burgundy and made with cordroy type material, I love the butterfly and flower on the front.  I got this from a lady at a market today, who was from Callagnee and was a victim of the recent bushfires.  I talked to her for a while and could hear the trauma and distress in her voice.  I think she and her husband were so brave and had such a positive attitude and were determined to rebuild their lives.  Made me feel very privileged to buy this bag from them.
